What is affiliate?

This is small question with an unlimited length answer. To put simple, an affiliate is the person that sell online the products or services of someone else. If you want to earn money online, the best way is to become an affiliate of an affiliate opportunity. Simple enough? :)

I talked few days ago about monetize your blog. I suggested you start with a program called skaDoogle because it is free to join and it works with 2 affiliate programs, ClickBank and PayDotCom which are also free to join. This was done to help you start the fastest way possible.

The point here, is that there are a lot of affiliate programs that are as good, not to say better than the above two. Just to name a few, you have ShareaSale, CPAEmpire, ClixGalore and many others. It is a good thing to offer to your readers the products they offer in the same niche than you.


You must give some choice to your visitors. You also can become affiliate directly with some merchant like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Dell.com, ShopZilla etc. All you have to do is log in your member area and look for the advertising/promoting tools section.

There you will find banners, text links etc that you could use on your blog. Remember that be affiliate with great name like Amazon or Barnes and noble, increase your credibility. Take one hour or two to visit their site and see if they offer something that will fit with your blog.
